Welcome to 8kicks, a free social prediction game for the FIFA World Cup 2026. By using the app at 8kicks.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
8kicks is a social prediction game where you pick scorelines for World Cup matches and compete with friends in private groups. Paul the Octopus is an AI-powered NPC who competes in every group. The game is free. It is not gambling, and there are no cash prizes or stakes.
You can try the app without creating an account through our anonymous demo flow. An anonymous session stores your picks temporarily. To keep your picks and fully participate, you need to upgrade to a real account by signing in with an email magic link, Google, or Facebook.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person, please. If we detect duplicate accounts being used to manipulate leaderboards or game mechanics, we may suspend or terminate those accounts.
Anonymous session data that is never upgraded to a real account is automatically deleted after 90 days.
Use 8kicks for its intended purpose: having fun predicting matches with your friends. Don't:
You own whatever content you create (display names, group names, etc.). By posting it on 8kicks, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute that content within the app as needed to run the service. We can remove content that violates these terms without notice.
The 8kicks name, logo, design, and code are our property (or licensed to us). You can't copy, modify, or redistribute them without written permission. "Paul the Octopus" as used in 8kicks refers to our AI NPC character, which is our original creation for this game.
FIFA, World Cup, and related marks are trademarks of FIFA. 8kicks is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. By using 8kicks, you agree to that policy.
We may share anonymized, aggregated data (like overall prediction trends or platform usage statistics) with third parties, including partners and sponsors. This data will never identify you personally.
8kicks is currently free. We may introduce optional premium features, sponsored groups, or other paid functionality in the future. If we do, the pricing and terms for those features will be clearly presented before you commit to any payment. Free functionality that exists today will remain free. We will never retroactively charge for features you already had access to.
We do our best to keep 8kicks running, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. The app may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We're not liable for any interruptions.
You can delete your account at any time from the Me tab in any group. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in behavior that harms other users or the platform. If we terminate your account, we'll tell you why (unless doing so would compromise platform security).
We also reserve the right to discontinue the service entirely. If we do, we'll give reasonable notice through the app.
8kicks is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for most users of a free app, is zero).
This isn't us trying to dodge responsibility. It's a free prediction game, not a financial service. We stand behind the product, but we need reasonable limits.
You agree to indemnify and hold 8kicks harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify you through the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
